The Lithuanian-born soprano studied since 2000 in Vilnius at prof. R. Maciute and prof.V. Noreika at the Music and Theatre Academy Lithuania. In 2006 she became  the winner of  "V. Jonuskaite- Zauniene singing competition".

  During her studies in Academy she was engaged to the Lithuanian national opera and ballet theater opera studio (prof. V. Noreika) , where she made her debute as Adina (Donizetti: L'elisir d'amore) and Xenia (Mussorgsky: Boris Godunov). She also debuted as Gilda (G.Verdi: Rigoletto) in Estonia, in 2007. One year later followed  Violetta Valery (Verdi: La Traviata) at the Latvian National Opera , In 2009 she debuted in Lithuania as Gilda , conducted by  G. Croci.

  From 2010 to 2012, the singer was engaged to International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera. In Zurich opera house she performed Pamina by W. A. Mozart "The Magic Flute" and  Barbarina in W. A. Mozart "Le nozze di Figaro", under the direction of Christopher Hogwood. She performed Flower Girl in  R. Wagner “Parsifal", conducted by Daniele Gatti and also Polovtsian girl in M.Musorgskij "Prince Igor", conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev. She sang Norina in Donizetti " I pazzi per progetto" under Paolo Carignani. In Opera Studio she sang  Titania  in B. Britten's  "A Midsummer Night's Dream”.

   In year 2012 was her first debut at the Theater an der Wien, she performed Premiere Grecque , in

Ch W. Gluck "Iphigenie en Aulis" with Alessandro De Marchi .
  Since season 2014 till 2016 Viktorija Bakan did belong to the Young Ensemble of  Theater an der Wien and successfully sang Tatyana in P. I.Tchaikovsky’s "Eugene Onegin” , in Vienna Chamber Opera. Then followed Contessa  Armelinda in F. L. Gassmann’s “Gli uccellatori”,  Almirena  in G. F. Handel’s  “ Rinaldo”, ( Bolshoi, Moscow / 2015/ conductor R. Dubrovsky). Fortuna in Cl. Monteverdi “L’incoronazione di Poppea” ( Theater an der Wien / 2015/ conductor J.Ch. Spinosi), Antigone in  T. Traetta's “Antigone” (Kammeroper Wien/2015/ conductor A. Cremonesi ) and Micaela in G. Bizet's “Carmen”(Kammeroper Wien/ 2016).  

  She made her debut in Italy at 2015, as Romilda  in G. F. Handel “Serse”  - Theater Litta in Milano  with "Coin du Roi",  conducted by Ch. Frattima . As well with success performed Jano role in J. Jenacek op."Jenufa" at Teatro Massimo, in Palermo on 2016 , conducted by G. Ferro.
